Publication of Report on OBESITY

EMBARGO: 00.01 on THURSDAY 27 MAY 2004

PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF VENUE:

The Health Committee will publish its Third Report of Session 2003-04 on Obesity (HC 23) on Thursday 27 May 2004  at 00.01 am.  A Press Conference will be held at 10 am on Thursday 27 May in the Wilson Room, Portcullis House

Confidential advance copies of the report, which will be embargoed until 00.01 am on Thursday 27 May, will be available for collection on Wednesday 26 May between 10 am and 11 am from the reception desk at Westminster House, 7 Millbank, London SW1. Advance copies of the report will also be made available to the Press from the Press Gallery, House of Commons at 10 am on Wednesday 26 May. Witnesses' copies will be posted to them.

Volume II of the Report (oral and written evidence) will also be published at 10.00 am on 27 May. Volume III [HC 23-II] (further written evidence: Appendices) will be published as soon as possible. [HC 23-III]

NB     There will be no circulation of volumes II and III and they will not be available from the Committee office.

The Health Committee is a Select Committee of the House of Commons. It is appointed under Standing Order No 152 to examine the expenditure, administration  and policy of the Department of Health and associated public bodies. The Committee has power to send for persons, papers and records.
