Draft Report (The Prevention of Venous Thromboembolism in Hospitalised Patients), proposed by the Chairman, brought up and read.

Ordered, That the Chairman's draft Report be read a second time, paragraph by paragraph.

Paragraphs 1 to 63 read and agreed to.

Summary agreed to.

Resolved, That the Report be the Second Report of the Committee to the House.

Ordered, That the Chairman do make the Report to the House.

Ordered, That the Provisions of Standing Order No. 134 (Select Committee (Reports)) be applied to the Report.

Ordered, That the Appendices to the Minutes of Evidence taken before the Committee be reported to the House. -( The Chairman)

A Memorandum was ordered to be reported to the House.

Public Health White Paper: The Rt. Hon. Dr John Reid, a Member of the House, Secretary of State for Health, Miss Melanie Johnson, a Member of the House, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Public Health and Dr Fiona Adshead, Director, Health Improvement Directorate and Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Department of Health, were examined.
