Foreign Affairs Committee: Inquiry

Human Rights Annual Report 2007

Since 1998, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has published an annual report explaining human rights concerns around the world and setting out the work of the FCO to combat human rights abuses. It has been the Committee's practice to scrutinise each report and publish its own report, drawing conclusions and making recommendations based on the FCO's report. The Committee's inquiries have looked at a range of issues and countries in which human rights abuses are a problem.

On 28 March 2008 the Foreign Affairs Committee announced a new inquiry into the Foreign and Commonwealth Office's Human Rights Annual Report 2007.

The Committee published its report on Human Rights Annual Report 2007 on 20 July 2008.
