1.  PRESS GALLERY

The Committee confirmed that the proposed 2006 and 2007 summer works programme should go ahead as planned: endorsed the proposal that holders of Gallery passes should be asked to agree on an individual basis to basic terms of occupancy: and endorsed the outline case for a modest presence in the Gallery for the House’s Media and Communications Service.

2.  EU PRESIDENCY EVENTS: REPORT BACK

The Committee noted the report-back of expenditure on committee conferences associated with the UK Presidency of the EU and in particular the economies associated with the use of in-House facilities.

3.  1707 EXHIBITION PROPOSAL

The Committee agreed to recommend to the Commission its approval of the proposed exhibition on the Tercentenary of the 1707 Act of Union.

4.  SECURITY-RELATED EXPENDITURE

The Committee agreed to recommend to the Commission its approval of the proposed expenditure on security in the 2006/07 Administration Estimate, noting that the Committee would receive early warning of significant items of security-related expenditure, and that the Committee would in co-operation with JCOS continue to exercise oversight of security-related expenditure.
