The Committee deliberated

Draft Report (The International Challenge of Climate Change: UK Leadership in the G8 and EU), proposed by the Chairman, brought up and read.

Ordered, That the Chairman's draft Report be read second time, paragraph by paragraph.

Paragraphs 1 to 104 read and agreed to.

Resolved, That the Report be the Fourth Report of the Committee to the House.

Several papers were ordered to be appended to the Minutes of Evidence.

Ordered, that the Chairman do make the Report to the House.

Ordered, that the provisions of Standing Order No.134 (select committees (reports)) be applied to the Report.

The Committee further deliberated.

Draft Report (Environmental Education: a follow-up to Learning the Sustainability Lesson), proposed by the Chairman, brought up and read.

Ordered, That the Chairman's draft Report be read second time, paragraph by paragraph.

Paragraphs 1 to 128 read and agreed to.

Resolved, That the Report be the Fifth Report of the Committee to the House.

Several papers were ordered to be appended to the Minutes of Evidence.

Ordered, that the Chairman do make the Report to the House.

Ordered, that the provisions of Standing Order No.134 (select committees (reports)) be applied to the Report.

The Committee further deliberated.

Sustainable Procurement: evidence was heard from Gill Rutter, Director, Strategy and Sustainable Development, Mr David Rabey, Director of Purchasing and Supply, and Mr Andy Davey, Environment, Business and Consumers Division, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs; and, at 4.40pm, from Clare Poulter, Deputy Chief Executive, OGC buying solutions, Mr peter Fanning, Deputy Chief Executive OGC and Executive Director for Access to Skills and Know How Directorate and Anne Turner, Director of Procurement Policy, Office of Government Commerce.
