Pre-Budget Report 2003


The Environmental Audit Committee is currently conducting an inquiry into The Pre-Budget Report 2003.   As part of this inquiry, the Committee is following up on its earlier report ( Budget 2003 and Aviation) in the light of the Government's formal response to that report and the Air Transport White Paper, both of which were published in December.  The Committee will take oral evidence on this topic as follows:

1. The Committee took evidence from John Healey MP, Economic Secretary, HM Treasury on Wednesday 21 January.  The Committee also took evidence on energy efficiency issues in relation to the Pre-Budget Report from the Association for the Conservation of Energy, the Energy Saving Trust, and the Carbon Trust on Wednesday 4 February.  The uncorrected transcripts of these evidence sessions can be found on the Committee's website at: http://www.parliament.the-stationery-office.co.uk/pa/cm/cmenvaud.htm#uncorr 

2. The Committee took evidence from the Aviation Environment Federation and British Airways on Wednesday 11 February.  The transcript of these sessions will be available on the Committee's website from Wednesday 18 February.
