Keeping the Lights On: Nuclear, Renewables and Climate Change
The Environmental Audit Committee has decided to hold a further oral evidence session in relation to its inquiry Keeping the Lights On: Nuclear, Renewables and Climate Change.
The new session will be on Monday 21 November at 3pm. The schedule of future meetings is now as follows:
Wednesday 16 November:
2.50 pm: National Grid plc
3.30 pm (approx): Dieter Helm, New College, Oxford
4.10 pm (approx): Ofgem
Thursday 17 November:
12 noon:Professor Sir David King, Government's Chief Scientific Adviser
Monday 21 November:
3.00 pm Jonathon Porritt CBE, Chair of the UK Sustainable Development Commission
Wednesday 23 November:
10.30 am: Rt Hon Alan Johnson MP, Secretary of State for Trade and Industry,
Department of Trade and Industry
The Committee normally meets in a committee room at Westminster. These sessions are open to the public on a first come, first served basis. There are often last minute changes of room and meetings may be held either in the Palace of Westminster or in Portcullis House. Those wishing to attend should check the venue by calling the committee office information line the day before the hearing on 020 7219 2033.
