The National Forest report was published on Friday 19 March 2010 at 00.01am as HC 281. The Committee have published the oral and written evidence in the same volume as this report.

Terms of Reference

The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee decided to hold an evidence session on the National Forest. The Committee will consider in particular the implementation of the National Forest Company’s Delivery Plan 2009-2014, especially with regard to:

• The funding schemes, principally the Changing Landscape Scheme, designed to encourage tree planting and the creation of wildlife habitats; and

• The economic, social and environmental benefits of the first decade of the National Forest Company’s activity.
