The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee has agreed a report about Sites of Special Scientific Interest. The report follows an inquiry by its Sites of Special Scientific Interest Sub-Committee.

The report will be published on Thursday 15 July 2004 at 00.01 am. Advanced copies of the report will be available under embargo from 11.00 am on Wednesday 14 July.

Members of the media who need further information about the report, are asked to call 020 7219 1380.

A press notice will be issued at the same time as the report is published.

Advanced copies of the report will be available to members of the media from 11.00 am on Wednesday 14 July 2004. These copies will be embargoed until 00.01 am on Thursday 15 July. The report will be available in the following ways:

  • Members of the media can collect them from the Press Gallery, House of Commons.

  • They will be sent by post to all witnesses (including those who submitted written evidence), or, if preferred, they can be collected either by witnesses or by their representatives between 11.00 am and 12 noon on Wednesday 14  July, from Westminster House, 7 Millbank, London.

  • On 15 July the Report will also be available from the usual outlets, including the Stationery Office bookshops (reference: Fourteenth Report of the Committee, Session 2003-04, HC 475).

  •  The Report will be posted on the internet at approximately 3.30 pm on 15 July, and will  be accessible via the Committee's homepage.
