Committee future programme
Owing to the high level of interest in the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee's flooding inquiry and the number of responses received, the Committee will be rescheduling some of its previously announced inquiries in order to allow a fuller investigation of flooding issues.
The evidence sessions for the inquiries into The Potential of England's Rural Economy, the Waste Strategy for England 2007 and the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 will be held in early 2008.
In the next few weeks the Committee will receive a briefing from the Commission for Rural Communities on the rural economy, which will inform the Committee's inquiry next year.
