13 May 2004 Gangmasters (Follow-up): Report to be published 20 May 2004

On 18 September 2003 the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee published a report into gangmasters. It announced then that it would follow up its report in Spring 2004  "to monitor the action taken by the Government following its Report, and to assess whether there is need for further action." Following further evidence sessions, the Committee has agreed a follow-up report into gangmasters.

The Report will be published on Thursday 20 May 2004 at 00.01 am. Advanced copies of the report will be available under embargo from 11.00 am on Wednesday 19 May 2004.

The Chairman of the Committee, Michael Jack MP, will be available for interview by the media. Members of the media wanting to do so, or who need further information about the report, are asked to call 020 7219 3263

A press notice will be issued at the same time as the Report is published.
