Correction to Committee's report into the Marine Environment

On 21 March the Committee published a report into the Marine Environment (Sixth Report, HC (2003-04) 76). On page 9 of the report the following statement appears in a section relating to Marine Aggregates Dredging: "In the context of this inquiry, we received no representations expressing concern about dredging".

That statement is not in fact accurate. Wildlife and Countryside Link has pointed out that in its supplementary evidence (published at page Ev 42 of the report) it included a paragraph that begins: "Marine aggregate dredging is also destroying some seabed habitats".
