Session 2002-03
9 April 2003 BADGERS AND BOVINE TB
Report Published Today

The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee today publishes its Report about badgers and bovine TB.

On publication of the Report, the Chairman of the Sub-committee, Mr David Drew MP, said:

"We were pleased to return to the issue of bovine TB following the inquiries conducted by the Agriculture Committee.  Matters have moved on but bovine TB remains a serious and worrying problem and we realise how difficult a disease it is to deal with.  We hope that our report makes a helpful contribution to the current debate and that the measures we recommend will be acted upon."
