Secretary of State correspondence on Bovine TB, Voluntary Modulation and Biomass Strategy published

The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee has published correspondence between the Committee Chairman the Rt Hon Michael Jack MP and Defra Secretary of State David Miliband.

The letters cover a number of topics raised by the Committee with the Secretary of State including: Bovine TB, Voluntary Modulation, the Biomass Strategy, Anaerobic Digestate and the Livestock Industry.

This is the first time the Committee has decided to published such correspondence.

Mr Jack said: "This is a way of continuing our scrutiny in areas that are not currently subject to formal inquiries and we felt it was important to make public the information we receive from the Government in this manner."
