LETTER PUBLISHED ON INTERNET:
Bovine TB Statistics: Letter to the Committee from Defra’s Chief Veterinary Officer
The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee, as part of its ongoing scrutiny of bovine TB, met with Nigel Gibbens, Defra’s Chief Veterinary Officer, on 20 January 2009.
The Committee received a letter from Mr Gibbens dated 19 February 2009 answering questions raised at the informal meeting. This letter was reported to the House on 25 February and placed on the Committee’s website the following day.
The Committee received a further letter from Mr Gibbens dated 23 March 2009 indicating that some statistics in the 19 February letter were incorrect. An updated and corrected original letter was attached. Both letters were reported to the House on Monday 30 March and can be found on the Committee’s website at:
