The potential of England's rural economy: Government Response to the Committee's Eleventh Report of Session 2007-08

The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee has agreed two Special Reports:

€ Sixth Special Report of Session 2007-08, Badgers and cattle TB: Government response to the Committee's Tenth Report of Session 2007-08, which will be published on Thursday 22 January 2009 at 11.00am as HC 1178. The Government response was placed on the Committee's website on 9 October 2008 (see press release No.60, 8 October 2008). It is being printed here alongside the oral evidence taken from the Secretary of State on 5 November 2008 and supplementary written evidence from Defra.

€ First Special Report of Session 2008-09, The potential of England's rural economy: Government Response to the Committee's Eleventh Report of Session 2007-08, which will be published on Wednesday 21 January 2009 at 11.00am as HC 155.

Copies of the Special Reports will be available in the following ways:

€ Media representatives can collect the Special Reports from the Press Gallery, House of Commons.

€ They will be sent by post to all witnesses or, if preferred, they may be collected on publication either by witnesses or by their representatives between 11.00am and 11.30am on Wednesday 21 or Thursday 22 January, from Westminster House, 7 Millbank, London.

€ Copies of the Special Reports may be obtained, on publication, from the usual outlets, including The Parliamentary Bookshop and The Stationery Office.

€ The Special Reports will be posted on the Parliamentary internet on publication, and will be accessible via the Committee's homepage.

2. At the oral evidence session on 5 November with the Secretary of State the Committee asked questions relating to bee research. The Secretary of State agreed to send the Committee a note on this matter.
