8 December 2003 RURAL DELIVERY REVIEW:
EVIDENCE SESSION

The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee has decided to take evidence from Lord Christopher Haskins, Head of the Rural Delivery Review. The evidence session has been arranged as follows:

Wednesday 17 December 2003

2.30pm    Lord Haskins, Head of the Rural Delivery Review

The evidence session follows the publication on 11 November of the Rural Delivery Review, Lord Haskins report into the delivery of government policies in rural England, and of the Government's initial response. Both of these documents are available on the Defra website, www.defra.gov.uk.

The Committee has taken a great deal of interest in the Review, taking evidence from Lord Haskins previously on 25 June 2003. A transcript of the evidence taken then is available on our website.

The Committee normally meets in a Committee Room at Westminster.  Because there are often last minute changes of Room and meetings may be held in either the Palace of Westminster or Portcullis House, those wishing to attend should check the venue by contacting the Committee Office Information Line on 020 7219 2033 on the day before the hearing.

Further details of the Committee, including its current membership, can be found on the Committee's homepage at http://www.parliament.uk/parliamentary_committees/environment__food_and_rural_affairs.cfm  Information about the Committee can also be obtained from 020 7219 3262.
