Terms of Reference

Defra's Departmental Report (Cm 7103) sets out Defra's progress against the Public Service Agreement objectives and targets reached under the 2004 Spending Review. It also reports on other areas of activity, which support the achievement of the Department's aim and strategic priorities.

Select committee core tasks require the Committee to "examine specific output from the department expressed in documents" (core task 4) and to "examine the department's Public Service Agreements, the asscoaited targets and the statistical measurements employed" (core task 6).
