Committee to question 'big six' energy companies on prices and future investment

The Energy and Climate Change Committee will take its first public evidence on Wednesday 11 February at 9.15 am in Committee Room 8, Palace of Westminster, when it will be holding a one-off evidence session with the 'big six' energy companies.

The following companies will be represented:
Centrica
EDF Energy
E.ON UK
RWE Npower
Scottish and Southern Energy
Scottish Power

Issues the Committee will explore include the outlook for energy prices in 2009 and future investment in electricity generating capacity.
