PUBLIC CONFIDENCE IN BROADCASTING
Oral evidence session
The Culture, Media and Sport Committee will hold a one off oral evidence session into public confidence in broadcasting, in the light of concerns about widespread and systemic problems in the way that broadcasters have used premium rate telephone services in their programmes.
Date and Time: Tuesday 24 July 2007 at 1115
Witnesses:
1115: Mark Byford, Deputy Director General, and Caroline Thomson, Chief Operating Officer, BBC
1200: Michael Grade CBE, Executive Chairman, ITV
Location: Thatcher Room, Portcullis House
The session will be open to the public on a first come, first served basis. There is no system for the prior reservation of seats in Committee Rooms. It is advisable to allow about 20 minutes to pass through security checks. Committee Rooms and timings are subject to change: those interested in attending the session should check the Committee Information Line on 020 7219 2033 before the meeting.
