The Culture, Media and Sport Committee will publish its Fourth Report, Women’s Football (HC 1357) at 00.01 hrs on Tuesday 25 July 2006.
There will be a
press conference to launch the Report in
Committee Room 15 in the Main Building at the House of Commons,
9.30am on Tuesday 25 July.
Advance copies of the Report for witnesses to the inquiry and the media will be available from 12 noon on Monday 24 July under strict embargo from the Reception at No.7 Millbank, and in the Press Gallery.
The report will also be available via the parliamentary website from 3pm on the day of publication.
The inquiry’s terms of reference were announced by press notice on 30 March 2006:
“The Committee is particularly interested in the following issues:
The development of women’s football at all levels and the resource requirements to support wider participation in amateur and elite women’s football;
Availability of opportunities for young players to develop skills, stamina and performance;
Women’s participation in all aspects of the game including coaching and management; and
Media coverage and sponsorship of women’s football.”
