Oral Evidence Session
The Communities and Local Government Committee scrutinises the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG). In May 2006 the department assumed lead responsibility for equalities policy, including policy on race, faith, gender and sexual orientation, as well as sponsorship of the Commission for Equality and Human Rights (CEHR).
The Committee is to hold an introductory evidence session with Trevor Phillips, Chair of the Commission for Equality and Human Rights, to examine the role and work of the Commission and action needed to tackle inequality.
Tuesday 24 April
Trevor Phillips, Chair of the Commission for Equality and Human Rights
The evidence session will take place in public, unless otherwise decided by the Committee, in a Committee Room at the House of Commons.
