NATIONAL CURRICULUM

Oral Evidence Session

The Children, Schools and Families Committee will be taking formal oral evidence as follows:

Monday 3 November 2008 at 3.45 pm

Witnesses:
Clive Bush, Director, Secondary National Strategy; Professor Derek Bell, Chief Executive, Association for Science Education; Dr Rita Gardner CBE, Director, Royal Geographical Society; and Professor Gordon Stobart, Institute of Education, University of London.

The purpose of the meeting is to consider:

  • the fit between the secondary curriculum and the Secondary National Strategy;
  • the impact of the Secondary National Strategy on the curriculum; and
  • the recent reforms to the secondary curriculum.

This session will be open to the public on a first come, first served basis. There is no system for the prior reservation of seats in Committee Rooms. It is advisable to allow about 20 minutes to pass through security checks. Committee rooms and timings are subject to change.
