LOOKED-AFTER CHILDREN

Oral Evidence Session

The Children, Schools and Families Committee will be taking formal oral evidence as follows:

Monday 28 April 2008 at 3.45pm
The Wilson Room, Portcullis House

Evidence from: Helen Chambers, Principal Officer (Well-being), National Children's Bureau; Sue Dunstall, Policy Advisor, NSPCC; Dr Rita Harris, The Care Matters Partnership; and Dr Cathy Hill, Senior Lecturer, University of Southampton and Honorary Consultant Paediatrician, Southampton City Primary Care Trust (PCT).

This is the fourth session of the inquiry; its purpose is to consider how well services are meeting the health needs of children and young people in care, and whether Care Matters sets out sufficient measures for improving the health and emotional wellbeing of looked-after children.

The session will also be open to the public on a first come, first served basis. There is no system for the prior reservation of seats in Committee Rooms. It is advisable to allow about 20 minutes to pass through security checks. Committee rooms and timings are subject to change.
