Evidence from: Dr Steve Gibbons, Research Associate, London School of Economics (LSE); and Tom Benton, Senior Statistician, and Simon Rutt, Deputy Head of Statistics, National Foundation for Educational Research (NfER).

The Committee is planning a series of meetings to look at a variety of different school types, including academies and faith schools. The purpose of this meeting is to look at the effects of a diverse system and what is known about the characteristics of different types of school in terms of performance, intake and other related issues.

These sessions will be open to the public on a first come, first served basis. There is no system for the prior reservation of seats in Committee Rooms. It is advisable to allow about 20 minutes to pass through security checks. Committee rooms and timings are subject to change.
