Oral Evidence Session

The Children, Schools and Families Committee will be taking formal oral evidence as follows:

Followed by at approximately 4.45pm:

Sir Jim Rose, Education consultant; and Colin Seal, Head of the Rose Review secretariat, Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF).

The purpose of the meeting is to consider:

  • the management of the primary curriculum and Primary National Strategy; and
  • the Rose Review of the primary curriculum.

DRAFT APPRENTICESHIPS BILL

The Children, Schools and Families Committee will be taking formal oral evidence as follows:

Witnesses:

Jim Knight MP, Minister of State for Schools and Learners, Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) and Siôn Simon MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Further Education, Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS).

This second session will also look at the aspects of the Draft Apprenticeships Bill which are within the Committee's remit; 16-19 apprenticeships and careers education in schools.

These sessions will both be open to the public on a first come, first served basis. There is no system for the prior reservation of seats in Committee Rooms. It is advisable to allow about 20 minutes to pass through security checks. Committee rooms and timings are subject to change.
