Oral Evidence Session
The Children, Schools and Families Committee will be taking formal oral evidence as follows:

Witnesses: British Council for School Environments (BCSE); The Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE); Construction Industry Council (CIC); and Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
Followed by at approximately 10.30am: Tim Byles, Chief Executive, Partnerships for Schools and Rt Hon Jim Knight MP, Minister for Schools and Learners, Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF).
This session will examine progress in the Building Schools for the Future project, with a particular focus on quality of design and construction, and the impact of the economic downturn.
This session will be open to the public on a first come, first served basis. There is no system for the prior reservation of seats in Committee Rooms. It is advisable to allow about 20 minutes to pass through security checks. Committee rooms and timings are subject to change.
