INQUIRY EVIDENCE SESSION
Business and Enterprise Committee to risk a mauling from BBC TV's Dragons
The Business and Enterprise Committee will take evidence from three panelists from the BBC 2 television programme 'Dragon's Den' at its meeting on Tuesday 15 July 2008.
The entrepreneurs, Rachel Elnaugh, Doug Richards and James Caan, will give evidence to the Committee as part of its inquiry into creating a higher value added economy. The evidence session will focus on the role of enterprise and small businesses in promoting growth in the UK economy and the role of government in providing an appropriate entrepreneurial environment.
Speaking ahead of the evidence session, Committee Chairman Peter Luff MP said:
"It is only with a little trepidation that the Committee holds this evidence session. It provides an invaluable opportunity to discuss with experienced entrepreneurs the issues they feel are important to creating an environment which supports the growth of new business and which will contribute towards a value added economy".
The meeting will be held on Tuesday 15 July 2008 at 10.30 am in the Wilson Room in Portcullis House.
