Joint Report on the Implementation of the European Neighbourhood Policy Review

On 14 September 2017, the EU External Affairs Sub-Committee considered the Joint Report on the Implementation of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) Review.

The Committee decided to retain the item under scrutiny and wrote to the Rt Hon Sir Alan Duncan MP, Minister for Europe and the Americas, requesting further information on four issues:

  • Whether the Member States are committed to encouraging a return to reform in Moldova, and what its assessment is of the EU's leverage;
  • The view of Member States on the challenges facing civil society in Egypt;
  • The UK's view on the use of Mobility Partnerships; and
  • Which countries European Migration Liaison Officers have been deployed to, and the Government's assessment of this approach.

On 12 October 2017, the Committee agreed to clear this document from scrutiny.
