European Banking Union: Key issues and challenges

The Committee heard oral evidence from expert witnesses in the autumn, and published the report European Banking Union: Key issues and challenges on the12th December 2012.

The inquiry focused on the newly-published proposals for a European Directive on Bank Recovery and Reolution, as well as the newly-announced steps towards a European Banking Union, including a new European banking supervisory mechanism.
