Ken Clarke questioned on Justice and Security Green Paper

The Joint Committee on Human Rights takes evidence on the Justice and Security Green Paper from witnesses including Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice, the Rt Hon Kenneth Clarke QC MP, and James Brokenshire MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary for Crime and Security, Home Office.

Witnesses

The Committee has arranged to hear oral evidence from the following witnesses:

At 2.20 pm:

  • John Wadham, Legal Director, Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC)
  • Eric Metcalfe

At 3pm:

  • The Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice, the Rt Hon Kenneth Clarke QC MP
  • James Brokenshire MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary for Crime and Security, Home Office

The above meeting is open to members of the public.  It is advisable to allow about 20 minutes to pass through security checks.  There is no system for the prior reservation of seats in Committee Rooms.  Members of the public enter via the Visitors Entrance, next to St Stephens Entrance, the Palace of Westminster.
