Evidence session on policing and protest

The Joint Select Committee for Human Rights holds an evidence session on Tuesday 1 March for their inquiry into policing and protest.

Witnesses:

at 2.40 pm

  • Nigel Stanley (Head of Campaigns and Communications); and
  • Carl Roper (Chief Steward for the march planned for 26 March), Trades Union Congress.

at 3.20 pm

  • Assistant Commissioner Lynne Owens; and
  • Commander Bob Broadhurst (Head of Public Order), Metropolitan Police Service.

The above meeting is open to members of the public. It is advisable to allow about 20 minutes to pass through security checks. There is no system for the prior reservation of seats in Committee Rooms. Members of public enter via the Visitors Entrance, next to St Stephens Entrance, the Palace of Westminster.
