29 October

The Committee met in private to agree the Special Report. This was the Committee's final meeting.

22 October

The Joint Committee, after hearing the petitioner's case, decided that the applicant did not have a case to answer. They will be making a short report shortly and the Order will then come into force (unamended).

7 July 2014

The Committee met on Monday 7 July at 4pm in Committee Room 4 to hear further submissions in relation to the foreshore (and the riparian rights relating to it) before coming to a decision on the scope of their subsequent hearings. A video of the main part of the meeting was webcast and you can watch it here.

After deliberating on further submissions in relation to the foreshore (and the riparian rights relating to it), the Committee made the following decision about the scope of their future consideration of the petitions against the Order:

"Our decision is that we should be able to hear evidence on all and only matters raised in the Petition for Amendment and the Petition of General Objection, excepting the provisions relating to the Railway which the Petitioner has indicated they are no longer pursuing."

3 July 2014

The Committee met in public on Thursday 3 July for a preliminary hearing on the scope of their consideration of the Able Marine Energy Park Development Consent Order 2014. In the meeting they heard representations from the petitioners and the applicant for the order.  A video of the meeting can be viewed here.

The Committee subsequently decided to meet again on Monday 7 July to hear further submissions in relation to the petitioner’s riparian rights before coming to a decision on the scope of their subsequent hearings.
