Minister for Employment questioned on in-work progression in Universal Credit

The Work and Pensions Committee takes evidence from the Rt Hon Priti Patel, Minister for Employment as part of its inquiry into in-work progression in Universal Credit.

Purpose of the session

The Committee focuses on the following areas:

  • the role of JCP Work Coaches in the in-work service
  • applying conditionality fairly and plans to provide relevant data
  • augmenting the pilot with learning from alternative approaches and
  • coordination of in-work progression with wider government policy
