Notes on submission of written evidence
 
As part of a scheme to encourage paperless working and maximise efficiency, the Committee is piloting a new web portal for online submission of written evidence. Written submissions for this inquiry should therefore be sent via the link at the top of this page.

The personal information you supply will be processed in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 for the purposes of attributing the evidence you submit and contacting you as necessary in connection with its processing. The Clerk of the House of Commons is the data controller for the purposes of the Act. We may also ask you to comment on the process of submitting evidence via the web portal so that we can look to make improvements. If your submission is confidential and you do not want it published please explain your reasons in the Additional information.

Most written submissions are published on the website.

Your document should:

  1. be in Word (doc, docx, rtf, txt ooxml or odt) format, not PDF
  2. be maximum 25MB in size
  3. be a single document - if there are any annexes or appendices, these should be included in the same document.
  4. contain as few logos or pictures as possible
  5. contain no macros
This should include any relevant information that has not been covered by the form e.g. if you do not want your submission published.
