The purpose of this session is to scrutinise the operation of the Statistics and Registration Service Act 2007, under which the UK Statistics Authority was created. Post-legislative scrutiny of the Act is the first of ten topics to be investigated by the Committee under the programme of work on statistics that it launched in June.
