Evidence call for work of Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman

19 November 2012

On Tuesday 18 December 2012, the Public Administration Select Committee (PASC) will take evidence from Dame Julie Mellor, the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman, about the work of her office.

PASC’s remit is to consider the reports the Ombudsman submits to Parliament, and to maintain strategic oversight of the work of her office. It would like to hear your views on the service provided by the Ombudsman and her team. Please note that the Committee does not intervene in, or reconsider, individual cases considered by the Ombudsman. The Ombudsman is an independent Officer of Parliament, and the Committee has no powers to compel her to reconsider or change her decisions.
