This evidence session with Sir Gus O'Donnell forms part of the Public Administration Select Committee’s scrutiny of the Cabinet Office. It provided the Committee with the opportunity to question the Cabinet Secretary about the on going process of civil service reform and hear his views on the future of the service.

Departmental Business Plans

In its first session of the new year PASC heard from Rt Hon Oliver Letwin MP, Minister of State for Policy, about the Government’s new departmental business plans and the assumptions which lie behind the concept of a “post-bureaucratic age”, which the Government sees as the context for its agenda of public sector reform.
