One-off evidence sessions 2010-12

One-off evidence sessions are held by the Committee if it wishes to explore a subject without undertaking an inquiry. They may include scrutiny of an issue of current public concern or be regular 'catch up' meetings with public bodies within the Committee's remit.

Roles and Powers of the PM

(although this inquiry has now been relaunched and oral evidence has started again in February 2013)

The Political and Constitutional Reform Committee conducted an inquiry into the role and powers of the Prime Minister, and how these are defined and held to account.

UK Bill of Rights Commission

The Committee held two public evidence sessions to examine the approach and views of most of the members of the newly established Commission on a UK Bill of Rights.
