International Trade Committee
The International Trade Committee holds a one-off session for its inquiry on the implications of Irish border arrangements on future trade policy. With Brexit negotiations ongoing, the session will consider how suggested solutions for the border interact with the UK’s obligations under World Trade Organization (WTO) rules and to what extent such solutions must be applied reciprocally at all UK borders.
Evidence given by Dr Lorand Bartels, Reader in International Law and Fellow of Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge; Senior Counsel, Linklaters, Dr Sylvia de Mars, Lecturer in Law, University of Newcastle
