It provides an opportunity for the Committee to examine the underlying policy issues, and to question what DFID can do in this area. The first panel consists of representatives from large corporations, including SABMiller, Glencore and Mopani Copper Mines, a Zambian company part owned by Glencore. Also on the panel is a representative from the Business and Advisory Committee (BIAC) to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The second panel includes representatives from the International Centre for Tax and Development, a research consortium part-funded by DFID, together with the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) and the Tax Justice Network.
