Definition and administration of UK Official Development Assistance examined

The International Development Committee hears from key figures from NGOs and research organisations on UK Official Development Assistance (ODA) administered by departments other than the Department for International Development (DFID).

Purpose of the Session

With an increasing proportion of UK ODA administered outside of DFID, the Committee will explore the opportunities and challenges arising from this trend, including whether UK aid across Whitehall is sufficiently aligned towards reducing poverty and whether levels of transparency in these funds should be improved.
