The current and former Chief Executives of Rochdale Council are returning to the Home Affairs Committee to give further evidence on localised grooming, following the publication of the Rochdale Safeguarding Board Report on Multi-Agency Responses to the Sexual Exploitation of Children.
Tuesday 6 November 2012
Committee Room 8, Palace of Westminster
- Jim Taylor, Chief Executive, Rochdale Council
- Roger Ellis, former Chief Executive, Rochdale Council
Committee Chair Rt Hon Keith Vaz MP said:
"Now that Rochdale Safeguarding Children Board has completed its Review, we are recalling the former and calling the current Chief Executive to discuss its findings.
We will be examining the reasons why so many opportunities to intervene to help the victims were missed, and vulnerable children were often treated as offenders rather than victims."
