Purpose of session

The session provides an opportunity to question the Acting Chief Executive of the UK Border Agency on progress in dealing with the reductions in funding arising from the Comprehensive Spending review and more generally on the work of the UKBA.

Committee Chair Rt Hon Keith Vaz MP said:

"Our regular sessions with the UK Border Agency are vital to ensure effective scrutiny of the UK Border Agency. We will use the time to explore recent criticisms of the Agency and the fall out from the recent highlighting of the Lille loophole."
