1. Matters arising from the informal note
The Chair reported that the Backbench Business Committee had agreed to hold a half-day debate on 8 November on the medium-term financial plan for the House of Commons Administration and savings programme. He also noted that at its meeting on 10 September the Commission had approved funding on a contingent basis to allow the UK Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly to offer to host the NATO PA Standing Committee in London in Spring 2015, in line with the advice of the Committee.
2. Administration Estimate Audit Committee
The Committee discussed the work of the Administration Estimate Audit Committee and its annual report for 2011/12 with the external members of the AEAC.
3. Medium-term financial plan
The Committee took note of the latest iteration of the draft Medium-term Financial Plan.
4. Savings programme: Update
The Committee took note of updates on the Savings Programme including the income generation, Estates and market testing strands.
5. Draft report
The Committee agreed its Report, House of Commons Administration: Financial Plan 2013/14 to 2016/17, including draft Estimate for 2013/14, for publication on 29 October. (Formal minutes will be published in the Report.)
