2. Election of Chair

John Thurso was called to the Chair.

3. Confidentiality of papers and proceedings 

The Committee took note of the guidance on privilege and the confidentiality of proceedings.

4. Role and work of the Committee

The Committee discussed its role and work, and agreed that a further paper would be prepared for its next meeting.

5. House's financial situation

The Committee took note of the paper, and agreed to hold a seminar on the subject.

6. Usual time and day of meeting

The Committee agreed to meet normally on Wednesdays at 2.30pm.

I have investments in three collective investment vehicles (AP Alternative Assets, AP Investment Europe and Bridges Community Development Fund II), which are managed by professional fund managers.  As the managers actively manage the portfolio of investments, the holdings may vary from time to time.  The managers have complete discretion over the specific holdings and I am not involved in specific investment decisions.  The illiquid nature of these investments will necessitate I continue this arrangement if elected.
