Former Director General of the World Trade Organisation questioned

27 February 2018

The Exiting the European Union Committee looks at the implications of trading on World Trade Organisation terms after Brexit.

This meeting is part of the Committee's overarching inquiry looking at the progress of the UK’s negotiations on EU withdrawal.

In previous sessions, the Committee has examined the EU's CETA agreement with Canada, its various Association Agreements, and the bloc's relationships with Switzerland, Norway, Turkey, and the European Economic Area. In the last meeting, the Committee also looked into lessons that could be learned from the EU-US negotiations on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership and the Australia-New Zealand trading relationship.

In this session, the Committee talks to Pascal Lamy, former Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, and discusses the implications of trading on WTO terms for the UK

Tuesday 27 February, Boothroyd Room, Portcullis House
