European Scrutiny Committee
The EU has proposed a major package of asylum reform, which has been considered by the European Scrutiny Committee.
The Committee has decided to call the Minister to give evidence on the handling of these important documents and may also raise wider issues about engagement on scrutiny after the EU referendum and broader Brexit implications of some asylum and migration measures under scrutiny.
Evidence given by Robert Goodwill MP, Minister of State for Immigration, and Kenny Bowie, Principal Private Secretary to the Home Secretary, Home Office.
European Scrutiny Committee questions Robert Goodwill on the Home Office's handling of the proposals
