Inquiry Status: Inquiry concluded, Report and Government Response published
The Environmental Audit Committee has published its report on this inquiry (on 10 January 2011), and the Government response can be found on the 'Embedding Sustainable Development: The Government's response' inquiry page.
The report states that Defra is not best placed to ensure that other departments embed sustainability in their operations and policy making, and that the Cabinet Office should take lead responsibility, supported by the Treasury.
