Education Committee to take evidence on health visitors on Wednesday 22 June at 9.45 am in the Wilson Room, Portcullis House

- Nicola Amies, Head of Early Years, Bright Horizons Family Solutions and member of expert panel for Dame Clare Tickell’s review of the Early Years Foundation Stage; and
- Anne Page, Policy and Public Affairs Manager, Family and Parenting Institute.
The session will explore the role of health visitors in helping children to be ready for school, taking into account recommendations made in recent reviews on Early Years, Early Intervention and Poverty and Life Chances. The Committee will also consider recent trends in health visiting and the Government’s drive to recruit an additional 4200 health visitors by 2015 in order to deliver a universal health visiting service.
